Tours about the Montafon and Klostertal miners' days in the
"St. Agatha miners' chapel"
on Kristberg
Would you like to learn about the hard life of the miners that lived
on Kristberg over
1,000 years ago? Adolf will accompany you through these times on a detailed tour of the St. Agatha
miners' chapel.
The St. Agatha miners' chapel is the oldest church in
the Montafon Valley and owes its existence
to mining. Another reminder of those times are the Tragic Tunnel, which can still be seen
clearly in the church, and the "Bruderhüsli" in the Dalaas forest.
The mining region of Montafon-Klostertal was at that time the largest
one in all of the province of Vorarlberg.
We have a
CD + MC of Adolf,
the flautist from the
Kristberg Inn, which contains a miners' song from the 14th century.
You can purchase this CD and/or MC at the Kristberg Panorama Inn, at the
Spar store in Silbertal, at the tourisminformation center in Silbertal, or at the
"Red Zac Montafon", in Schruns.
Experience a special part of Vorarlberg's cultural history with your friends, family,
....

Your reservation can be made at the tourist office in Silbertal (Tel. 0043 (0)5556/741
12). There are also two mines you can visit (with a guide only!) in
Bartholomäberg.
