It is possible to travel individually and unattached with your own car. The route has no major gradients, no pass crossings and is usually easily passable even in winter.

Note: Vignettes are compulsory on all Austrian motorways and motorways.

IMPORTANT: The private and single-lane cooperative road from Silbertal to Kristberg may only be used with a valid driver's license (authorization certificate) and/or a valid written reservation confirmation (exclusively for overnight guests) from Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
Failure to comply will result in a fine of € 700.00.

In winter, the panoramic inn can only be reached via the Montafon Kristberg cable car. However, there is free parking at the valley station, and you can reach Gasthof Kristberg easily and uncomplicatedly:

The Montafon Kristbergbahn team has a list of the names of all guests arriving and issues tickets for the ascent and descent accordingly. The adventure continues afterwards: the team from Panoramagasthof Kristberg will pick you up from the mountain station with the electric skidoo. Your luggage will then be transported the approx. 250 meters from the top station of the Montafon Kristberg cable car to Panoramagasthof Kristberg, the number one address for pampering in the Montafon.

When you reach Silbertal (890 m above sea level), turn left uphill between the primary schools, the Sparmarkt supermarket and the Hotel Hirschen inn. After about 50 meters, turn left (blue sign "Kristbergstrasse") onto the single-lane cooperative road, and you are then on the Kristbergstrasse.

After approx. 3 km there is a junction where you continue straight ahead (blue sign "Kristbergstraße") on Kristbergstraße. After another 2 km there is another junction where you also continue straight ahead (blue sign "Kristbergstrasse") on the Kristbergstrasse.

Now it is about 1 km and the destination (Kristberg - 1,425m above sea level) is reached.

You can reach Panoramagasthof Kristberg in Silbertal comfortably and without traffic jams by public transport. First, take the Montafonerbahn from the express train station in Bludenz to Schruns. From there, the MBS Landbus takes you to the valley station of the Montafoner Kristbergbahn and then up to the Kristberg in less than 5 minutes.

We will be happy to pick you up by e-car from the train station in Schruns for € 25.00 per trip or Bludenz for € 40.00 per trip and will also be happy to bring you back there after your holiday with us on the Kristberg.
