Family and pleasure skiing area
A real insider tip for families is the child-friendly gourmet skiing area on the Kristberg. Two ski lifts with a length of 300 m and 700 m respectively provide access to four slopes in the easy and medium categories and a ski trail. More challenging is the valley descent, which is marked as a ski route and is groomed all the way to the middle station when snow conditions are good. For beginners and children, "Silbis Winterwelt" offers a practice area with the Sunkid magic carpet (conveyor belt) that is open to the public and free of charge. Should Frau Holle ever go on strike, the Kristberg also has a snow-making system. Family-friendly prices and the easily manageable area round off the offer.
Panorama & high-altitude trail (classic)
The 9.3 km Panorama & Höhenloipe, which is freshly groomed every day, is a real cross-country skiing delight for beginners and advanced skiers alike. Easy climbs alternate with gentle stretches and you are always curious to see what will happen around the next bend. Often you want to enjoy the view, but the Lobspitz massif, which becomes ever more imposing, draws you in magically. After the loop on the Wildried, you take off your skis and relax on one of the benches.
Pure winter hiking pleasure
The Kristberg, together with Bartholomäberg, is the most beautiful and attractive winter hiking area in the Montafon. There are over 80 km of groomed or cleared trails on the Kristberg, Bartholomäberg and in the Silbertal. The well-signposted trails offer a wide choice of varied walks and easy high-altitude hikes. Run in the wonderfully clear and fresh winter air, as well as a panorama that is second to none. The tranquillity of the mountains, the intact nature and the rhythmic and steady movements create a feeling of absolute serenity and relaxation.
Snowshoe paradise
The mountain ridge of Bartholomäberg and Kristberg is particularly suitable for this type of leisure activity and has long made a name for itself as a snowshoe paradise. From a multitude of marked trails, the Muttjöchle Tour (2074 m) stands out as a very special mountain experience. This trail begins directly at the mountain station and even before the forest line (1800 m) is reached, the summit cross greets you from afar. Accompanied by the fantastic panoramic view, the trail climbs gently between hills and over crests over the snow-covered mountain ridge towards the summit.
Ski tours - from easy to demanding
The starting point for the four different and popular ski tours (easy to challenging) is the Kristbergbahn mountain station at 1443 m. Beginner or warm-up tours are Alpilakopf and Muttjöchle with a walking time of about 2.5 hours. More challenging, however, are tours to the Fellimännle (2,209 m) and the Lobspitze (2,605 m). When snow conditions are critical, the Muttjöchle is a particularly popular and safe destination for ski tourers.
Silbertal Forest School
The Silbertaler Waldschule offers the opportunity to experience our forest in a new way as a guided snowshoe or winter hike: follow the tracks of forest animals, learn about their survival strategies and different plants, or simply take in the peaceful atmosphere of the winter forest. There is something for everyone here. TIP: Not only for children!

Culture.Breakfast.Montafon - mountain experience
Enjoy the "Kristberg mountain breakfast" in the old Montafon style (sura kees, breadcrumbs, bacon, fresh milk, butter, ...) with us in the cosy panorama guesthouse Kristberg. This is followed by a guided tour of St. Agatha Chapel through the time of the Montafon miners with Adolf Zudrell, the "flute player from the Kristberghof". The tour can be taken in all weathers.
